Hardworking and ambitious, Tiana dreams of one day opening the finest restaurant in New Orleans. Her dream takes a slight detour when she meets Prince Naveen, who has been turned into an amphibian by evil Dr. Facilier. Mistaking her for a princess and hoping to break the spell, Naveen plants a kiss on poor Tiana, thereby turning her into a frog as well. The pair hop along on an adventure through the bayous to seek the help of a voodoo priestess.

The backgrounds are beautifully drawn. There are sunny days in the French Quarter, spooky nights among live oaks hung with Spanish moss, and a rousing denouement at the Mardi Gras.

The narrative is largely dull and the representation ranges from overdue to problematic. While the film still has a charm, specifically in its visuals, the overall viewing experience is more average than anything else.

this is the best Disney movie and can sit on the pedestal of other great Disney classic movies such as 'Mulan', 'the Lion King', 'Hercules', and 'Lilo and Stitch'. I love Princess and the Frog, Louisianan setting reimagining a European tale, so it works within an American movie. also let me say i am extremely glad that Tiana is not another one of those princesses who needs saving.

I can remember if I ever watched this so it feels likes a first watch. It's okay though, not my favorite Disney movie to be honest. It was cool that they finally chose to make a black Princess movie.

A beautiful tribute to traditional 2D animation that presents a vibrant, rhythm-filled New Orleans. Tiana is an excellent protagonist, focused on her hard work and genuine dreams. The jazz-influenced soundtrack and the villain, Dr. Facilier, are the film's highlights. It loses a few points because the narrative—specifically the middle section where the protagonists are transformed into frogs in the bayou—loses a bit of its momentum and magic, but the overall result is very positive.

Synopsis
