The setup—crime scene cleaners trapped in a house by a mysterious entity—feels forced from the start, relying on flimsy logic to push the characters into danger. While the core concept is intriguing, the film refuses to explore its lore or backstory, draining tension and making the escalation frustrating rather than suspenseful. Some characters work better than others: Marcus and Hannah stand out, while Dylan and Rachel feel underdeveloped. Performances are mostly solid, with a few notable exceptions. The ending is abrupt and unsatisfying, as if the writers simply gave up. Strong cinematography and moments of effective disorientation help, but bad CGI and a weak narrative ultimately hold the film back. Isn't internally logical, makes little sense (they have to put the broken pieces of "the artifact" together and then break them again, and when they each hold a piece of the artifact it draws the demon closer to them?)
