Tierney O @RT76648757 5d When we look at the actual message of the movie alien and what the face huggers and aliens are representing this is disheartening, combining human and alien like it is a good thing is wrong, like they just ignored the entire reason why aliens are bad in this movie series. It is honestly just fan service and nothing else it should have stopped moving foward after the movie aliens. Would not recommend. The film takes place 200 years after Alien 3 where Ripley killed herself to prevent an Alien Queen from being born. On board the military science vessel Auriga they have cloned Ripley as well as an Alien Queen, who has begun laying eggs. Naturally the aliens get loose and everyone starts dying while the cast makes snarky comments. Some of the action scenes were decent but a lot of the CGI was terrible, most of the acting was as well, and we get the worst looking Alien ever seen in cinema. Resurrection is likely also the worst looking Alien movie since everything looks washed out and it has a weird color palette. Finally, it doesn't feel like an Alien film but more of a Marvel movie complete with stupid comedy and dumb action. Still, while it's not great, or even good, at least it's different from the other Alien movies. See more andrea c @Charst Nov 25 Film che senza dubbio perde l'occasione di dare vita ad una nuova trilogia, scelta sbagliata in partenza è quella di non cambiare protagonista dopo l'epico finale della sua Ripley, ma bensì di trovare un modo per riportarla in vita fisicamente, seppure con diversa personalità. Tolta questa scelta discutibile, il film corre spedito sui binari della fantascienza senza di fatto mai esplorare novità narrative ma limitandosi ad un classico gioco ad eliminazione dei personaggi fino al climax finale. Come nei precedenti capitoli, proprio i personaggi tendono ad invecchiare precocemente a causa dei loro comportamenti esagerati e delle movenze eccessive che rendono tutto troppo recitato in vero stile anni '80. Un film di cui non c'era bisogno ma che quanto meno resta divertente ed adrenalinico. Much better than Alien 3 or the prequels. Sigourney Weaver is great as usual, as was Winona Ryder. The writing & directing was top notch, the practical effects have aged well. Thrills and Chills.
