Walter Bird is a man at the end of his tether. Alone in a decaying home and overwhelmed by unprocessed trauma, he is preparing to end his life when a moment of hesitation leads him to call a suicide helpline. On the other end of the line is Grace, a calm, experienced volunteer whose steady presence becomes his only point of connection. As Walter spirals through fragmented memories, hallucinations, and the destabilizing return of two toxic figures from his past, the conversations with Grace slowly peel back the layers of his guarded exterior. What emerges is the truth he has never spoken aloud: abuse, addiction, and a childhood shaped by fear and neglect. Amazing Grace is an intimate, psychologically driven portrait of survival, rooted in performance and emotional truth, and grounded in the quiet power of human connection.
