Joanna T @aerialgirly92 4d After the drama from 1st movie, Emily (evil Blake Lively) is released from jail as Stephanie is promoting her book about Emily. Emily blackmails Stephanie into coming to her Italy wedding with her new beau. The 2 women seem to hate each other. Lots of drama as usual: Emily's ex-hubby is murdered, then Emily's new fiance is murdered right after she marries him. The FBI is now following Step around as they know she's in danger, but they're useless. Emily's mean mom shows up with her aunt Linda. It turns out, Emily's mom had triplets but Linda stole 1 baby after helping w/ the birth. Raised the girl Charity as her own. Charity is the one killing ppl, she claims she did it for Emily. She loves Emily & wants them to live life together. Linda is after money. Just as Linda is trying to kill Emily, Charity pushes Linda off the cliff. But Charity is arrested for murder. Steph is still famous for her vlog. Emily gives son to Steph to raise as she's in hiding. This movie follows an interesting mystery but the script could've used some more work. I do hope that we get a third one as these movies have proven to be intriguing and lots of fun at times. The story, centered on a seemingly perfect suburban mom and her mysterious, suddenly vanished friend, was filled with brilliant twists and turns that kept me guessing until the very end. The dark humor was perfectly balanced with the suspense, creating a unique and captivating tone. Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively were phenomenal, delivering charismatic performances that made the dynamic between their characters truly magnetic. The film's aesthetic was impeccable, from the chic fashion to the sleek production design. The direction was sharp and the soundtrack was just as stylish as the visuals.
