This Hollywood drama is based on the events of the Apollo 13 lunar mission, astronauts Jim Lovell (Tom Hanks), Fred Haise (Bill Paxton) and Jack Swigert (Kevin Bacon) find everything going according to plan after leaving Earth's orbit. However, when an oxygen tank explodes, the scheduled moon landing is called off. Subsequent tensions within the crew and numerous technical problems threaten both the astronauts' survival and their safe return to Earth.

See more Charlie C @RT81724996 5d Just watched Apollo 13 and wow… what a thrill ride… if your idea of thrills is watching grown men politely troubleshoot problems for two hours. I mean, don’t get me wrong—Tom Hanks is great at looking mildly concerned, but I kept waiting for literally anything unexpected to happen. Spoiler alert: the thing you already know is going to happen… happens. The whole movie is basically: "Houston, we have a problem." "Yes, we see that." "Let’s fix it." "Okay." roll credits No plot twists. No dinosaurs. Not even one unnecessary explosion. Just vibes and duct tape. Overall: 2.5 stars. Meh.
