The tacky sci-fi horror film Black Box weakly imitates 1979's Alien (outer-space monsters that kill humans) and has the deadly creatures on an airplane instead of a spaceship. This stupid movie's plot twist rips off another horror movie classic. Go to Full Review

This horror movie from Final Destination 5 director Steven Quale is creepiest before the characters discover the true nature of their predicament. Go to Full Review

Plenty of padding to help build up the run time, throttling a tale that should be paced as swiftly as possible, especially when so much of it is derivative of other, better genre endeavors. Go to Full Review

...I didn’t expect too much from this supernatural sci-fi horror fantasy hybrid, but it absolutely delivered more than I ever anticipated. I find myself wanting a sequel to dive deeper into the world-building presented, which is always a good thing. Go to Full Review

A solid horror film that indulges in the tropes of the genre but manages to avoid most of the clichés. The scares are earned and the story does a fine job of offering up some surprises that throw both the characters and the audience for a loop. Go to Full Review

Kimberly T @kat1204 9h If you are looking for a super campy horrible movie, this is the one for you. Save yourself the horror and move along. There’s nothing to see here. See more Anthony D @RT82128606 2d This film was awful. The acting was terrible throughout, and the only decent part was the brief moment we actually got to see the alien creature attacking the passengers. Unfortunately, that did not last long, and the rest of the movie was just the characters complaining. Even the dogs did a better job than the human actors. I cannot believe I wasted my time watching this. Do not watch it. See more Farah R @Farah 6d This movie was surprisingly enjoyable despite the obvious budget limitations. Black Box was thrilling and unpredictable to the last minute. The acting was believable enough, and the story was original. I recommend it to anyone who loves alien movies. See more Robbie L @RT80414327 6d I was a fan. I liked the slow build the strange pay offs. The acting is a little questionable and the cg is ok. Looking past that it’s fun with a unique twist to it that most movies don’t go for See more Jimmy Jr L @RT29347221 Jul 28 The horror and suspense truly come alive in the latter half of the movie. The plot, where the alien invasion begins in Earth's atmosphere along a commercial airplane's flight path, is both unexpected and refreshing, making for a tense and thrilling experience. However, the supporting cast leaves much to be desired. In particular, the flight attendants' performances feel stiff and unconvincing, with several scenes coming across as cringeworthy rather than immersive. The ending delivers an excellent plot twist that elevates the film even further. Still, one question remains: what happened to the evidence that was thrown out of the airplane? It feels like an important loose end that could be explored in a follow-up story. I'm genuinely hoping the filmmakers continue the story with a sequel. See more Jake D. @WhiteBoy Jul 26 I loved everything about this. Very unexpected. I hope this catches on and they can get a sequel or multiple made. This should be getting the budget of Disclosure Day. They did a lot better with a lot less. The acting was good. There are a few side characters and lines that aren’t always great but doesn’t take anything away from the whole and honestly better than I expected. Good pace never dragged at all. Held my attention the entire time and the unexpected ending was very clever. If you can see past the obvious constraints of a low budget movie it’s an excellent thrilling fun story. I actually got chills at the end. See this. See more Read all reviews
