The idea of two lifelong friends turning into rivals over wedding dates could have been funny or emotionally engaging, but the film leans too heavily on over-the-top conflicts instead of genuine humor or character development. Many of the jokes feel forced, and the main characters become increasingly unlikable as the story goes on. Instead of exploring friendship in a meaningful way, it turns everything into exaggerated arguments that quickly become repetitive. Even with recognizable leads, the film never really finds a strong tone or emotional payoff. Overall, it feels poorly balanced and forgettable. I would rate it a 1/10. I think Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway did their best in this movie, but the script isn't doing them any favors.
