Helene S @helene___ Oct 20 It reminded me of Kurosawa's other movies, about a seemingly unstoppable scourge on society spreading and leaving dead bodies in its wake. But that was the limit of my enjoyment. It made me with I was watching Pulse or Cure. It was too slow, too frustrating, and didn't have much of a point, especially at the end. I see how it could work as a book, but as a movie: not so much. If you are willing and able to do so, you're in for a thoroughly engrossing, unsettling, and quietly haunting experience. Creepy is easily one of Kurosawa's most disturbing and bleak films. It's not straightforward horror, but more of a slow burn mystery/thriller filled with existential dread and despair, and accented by elements of horror. Also, as with most of Kurosawa's films, there are few, if any, concrete answers to be found. His films tend to operate on metaphors, motifs, and atmosphere rather than offer a clear-cut plot with a literal approach. If you just want thrills, this is probably not the movie for you. If you want something thought-provoking and eerie that will slowly worm its way under your skin and leave you shaken, then Creepy will not disappoint. See more Jonathan D. B @RT81167753 10/30/2024 This was probably the worst paced, improperly, lazily, sloppily directed films I have ever seen. I'd honestly write something longer if I didnt just already waste 130 minutes of my life. If you need some proof of the lazy directing just go to the scene at the college where the main character is casually questioning a person of interest before he abruptly assaults her (meanwhile the background characters who are studying and all doing different activities robotically all get up and leave in unision). There is something wrong with this movie, scenes doesn't piece together. Climax is so bad that even climax itself says i am bad.
