This is Eddie Murphy the star. Full of energy, living loud, brash and funny as f___. This character is perfect for him to release his raw, kinetic, comedic genius on. And he can act. We feel for this guy, rooting him on. Some great casting also. Da'Vine Jay Randolph is a standout. But lot more great roles here. But, basically this is the confident, cocksure Eddie Murphy as star we have not seen in a long time. He owns every shot he is in. Nice to see him back! Maybe some stand-up soon?
