It had the gore, disturbing acts and it had the star (Max the Impaler) Dolly And (Ethan Suplee)Toby was a fun character too! distribution by Shudder and IFC. It's noted for its gritty aesthetic, practical effects, and a killer inspired by The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, with plans for sequels and prequels already in the works. It's blending 1970s exploitation horror with modern elements and I loved every second of it The score was great and so was the creepy dolls aesthetic. For me the film grit actually was more reminiscent of the original Last House On The Left Rather than The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The brutality was fun to watch. Its going back to the mute killer tropes which I always loved honestly.. it's deranged and more menacing. Oh the slow walk hunter and the forest tripper.. too. It's a must see for horror fans! See more Juan Mar 11 This is one of those movies that shows the hidden value of a list. You can take risk baby. I should have waited for this to be on Shudder. It’s fine in the sense of movie. Like the people that worked it can find work after this it was a made well. For me the annoying part was the chapters. They were unnecessary because it picked where the movie was going anyway. I think chapters should be used when there’s a needs to tell the story out of order and it makes more sense to jump around timeline wise. Some chapters felt like 5 minutes.
