Doeren clearly has a feel for the bear necessities, but the human interest hardly gets its boots on. Go to Full Review

While Grizzly Night's two-dimensional characters and on-the-nose dialogue make its first 20 minutes a slight chore, it picks up significantly in its final hour. Go to Full Review

There’s much to admire about the bears, but it’s the humans who let the film down. Go to Full Review

The messaging is at least reasonably clear, even if tragedies are seen on both sides, given what happened to grizzly bears following this event. I just wish the film were a bit more polished. Go to Full Review

Grizzly Night delivers real tension and impressive craft—especially in its sound design and atmosphere—but it never quite chooses its identity with the confidence the story demands. Go to Full Review

A soft recommend. The intentions are earnest and the bear looks great, but the hair and costuming is questionable and, though based in fact, the decision to divide the narrative between victims means the characters don't pop Go to Full Review

Steve M @Scoopmitchell 1d After viewing "Grizzly Night" over the weekend, I couldn’t wait to see what movie critics and audience members thought of this stunning, true-to-life docudrama. Assuming you already read a professional review or two, I’ll dispense with the plot and instead address complaints from a few audience reviewers who were disappointed that "Grizzly Night" isn’t a horror film along the lines of the gory comedy "Cocaine Bear." Fact is, this wilderness drama has more than enough real-life highlights to hold up on its own. This thriller starts off with a bang as fierce lightning bolts spark fires throughout the million-acre park, forcing National Park rangers to disperse to all corners of the wilderness area. Simultaneously two sets of campers settle in for the evening nine miles apart, and that’s when the suspense really begins to build. Much like in "Jaws," the presence of the predator is felt more than seen. And by "felt," I mean it was a dry-throat, stomach-clinching experience. See more Makesnoisewithguitar @MeesterMeester 6d Grizzly Night (2026) is a gripping, edge-of-your-seat survival thriller that feels both intense and deeply human. The film masterfully captures the terror and beauty of the wilderness, with stunning cinematography and powerful performances that make every moment feel real. Rather than relying on cheap scares, it builds tension through smart pacing and emotional depth. A haunting, unforgettable experience — easily one of the best survival films in years. See more C A @Alexa80 6d Great film and a must watch, based on a true story that uncovers human behavior and interaction with wildlife in the 1960s that eventually resulted in major changes in all National Parks wildlife management. This is not your typical bear villain movie filled with gory violent scenes, but rather a sad real life story of unfortunate events that came from nature being taken for granted!
