Alain E @AlainE 3 days ago Even better, imagine this movie makes sense. A young girl arrives in NYC from her native Utah. She is not here to study or get a position. Unclear how she decided on New York. Rents a room in an apartment that is occupied by another girl and starts looking for a job. The second girl paints obsessively abstract pictures while listening to very loud music and smoking cigarettes, although she claims she is not a smoker. Occasionally she engages in self harm. Then we meets a third girl who comes to crash to the apartment after taking narcotics. This roughly is what is happening in the first twenty minutes. Not very promising and I gave up.
