The year is 2455. The Place is Old Earth. Once the shimmering blue jewel of the galaxy, Old Earth is now a contaminated planet abandoned for centuries. Yet humans have returned to the deadly place that they once fled. Not to live, but to research the ancient rusting artifacts of the bygone civilizations that caused this environmental disaster. And little does the most recent landing party of intrepid young explorers realize the fate that awaits them.

Todd Farmer's script rips off ["Alien"], replaces the acid-based monster with the hockey-masked Jason, adopts the self-mocking attitude of "Scream" and lets the heads, arms, legs and torsos fall where they may. Go to Full Review

For the most part, Jason X doesn’t take things far enough. Amid all the sci-fi absurdity, it’s just as formulaic as all the others. Go to Full Review

Although the film makes the most of its limited budget, it lacks the prowess to achieve the spectacle of any of its inspirations, all but forgetting that it’s supposed to be a Friday the 13th movie for several stretches. Go to Full Review

Carter H @quality_finds Oct 7, 2026 Bad setting, acting wasn’t bad mostly, not great, not excited to put any input other than this movie may be fun for the idea, rather than anything about the movie 1 sad star See more Robert P @Superbad Sep 4, 2026 It's an okay movie but not my type of thing... See more B P @Bradster69 Aug 31, 2026 Not Bad, but Not My Favorite See more Alex B @AlexBioni Aug 28, 2026 Jason in Space! This movie has male nipple grabbing, belly button licking, and VR heads getting cut off. What am I watching? The soundtrack is just as awful as Jason Goes to Hell, and the characters act like it's still 2000 even though they're in the future. The plot makes no sense and it's cheesy sci fi horror. However, this is stupid fun and a perfect turn your brain off movie. The blood and gore are finally here, and I liked the change of pace of putting Jason in the future as ridiculous as that sounds. Some of the kills are crazy, especially the face in the ice. I also like that the movie is self aware and knows exactly what kind of movie it is. I also like the upgraded Uber Jason design. He looks ridiculous but badass. The futuristic setting also reminded me of early 2000s sci fi movies like Doom and Resident Evil. Overall, it's pretty forgettable except for the fact that it's Jason in space. Honestly, that's enough to make it memorable. See more Bruce M @BruceMc Aug 28, 2026 Oh, yeah, it's incredibly bad and stupid, but "Jason X" is a lot of fun and even has a David Cronenberg cameo. Certainly is better than "Jason Takes Manhattan." Plus, its always good to see Lexa Doig, Peter Mensah and Lisa Ryder. See more diogo13 T @Tua_mera Jul 11, 2026 Se o outro era o pior este eu já não sei. See more Read all reviews
