In 1937, a two-and-a-half year old boy from a simple family in Tibet was recognized as the 14th reincarnation of the Buddha of Compassion, and destined to become the spiritual and political leader of his people. Director Martin Scorsese brings to the screen the true story of the Dalai Lama. Javier P @Javichuu_ Feb 11 I first watched this movie when I was about 10 years old, at first I didn't understand much of it. I rewatched it a few days ago and it is a beautiful movie. It captures the essence of tibetan budhhism and you can really tell its made by Martin Scorsese. Absolute amazing scenery and meaning, in my opinion, a must watch movie.
