Critics Consensus

Breathtakingly tense, Law of Tehran infuses its hard-hitting story with kinetic, gritty action and morally complex themes.

Combines the vérité grit of The French Connection with the physical slapstick of Buster Keaton. Really. It’s a deliberately bewildering cocktail of brutal tragedy and gallows farce that runs throughout this very arresting feature.

Well-made, well acted thriller - I find films set in Iran fascinating. A lot of this film was far more realistic and gripping than average.
