If you’re a “Saturday Night Live” fan, you’re not going to want to miss “Lorne,” since it’s a puckishly delightful and revealing movie. Go to Full Review

Though “Lorne” is prone to some overly relaxed pacing, the film is held tight enough by the grip that Michaels has maintained over his little fiefdom for more than half a century. Go to Full Review

The result is an ode of sorts to elusive bossdom, where the cryptic may remain cryptic, decoded just enough to let us appreciate the achievement. Go to Full Review

Everyone states the obvious: Lorne isn’t going to love being followed around with a camera and that Neville isn’t going to learn much more about the man than he already did going into the project. Go to Full Review

Matthew Diaz 14h I wanted a lot more about his past and especially things outside of SNL but all in all, it is a great documentary. I love it. See more Sheryl L 21h I'm a fan but haven't been a constant viewer of SNL over the years. There was just so much about the origin and history of SNL that I didn't know. I enjoyed getting the background story from cast members and friends of Lorne and the show. What a crazy ride! Took me totally away from the worla and its woes for an hour and a half. I needed the relief! See more Becky 1d Loved learning about Lorne and SNL! I laughed so much. See more Carol 2d Great nostalgia about the driving force behind Saturday Night Live. Memorable clips, interviews of current and former cast members and writers. Certainly worth 1:41 hours. See more Alan D 2d An interesting story about a guy who seems to want to avoid being its subject, yet has asserted himself on our culture for 50 years. See more Daniel E @dandyc186 10h As a long-time (on and off) SNL fan I am interested in some of the nitty gritty elements in the production of the show. Indeed, Lorne is mostly a biopic about SNL, rather than Lorne Michaels. However, there were a number of new things that I learned about Mr. Michaels, including his picturesque vacation home in Maine and close friendship with Paul Simon. Lorne didn't appear as an autocrat behind the stage, but there is a strong undercurrent of his power and willingness to exercise it. See more Read all reviews
