When a boyfriend tricks Lucy (Scarlett Johansson) into delivering a briefcase to a supposed business contact, the once-carefree student is abducted by thugs who intend to turn her into a drug mule. She is surgically implanted with a package containing a powerful chemical, but it leaks into her system, giving her superhuman abilities, including telekinesis and telepathy. With her former captors in pursuit, Lucy seeks out a neurologist (Morgan Freeman), who she hopes will be able to help her.

It's a film that takes great delight in her essentially co-opting a long series of tropes and storylines typically reserved for men in stories of this type, which is an old trope in the feminist action movie wheelhouse.

I absolutely loved this movie. I'm not sure why so many people hate on it but it seems like it has something to do with a female lead via comments. The visuals are beautiful and would look great in 3D.

Really dumb. Formulaic. Good movie for ten year old boys. Full of gratuitous violence, car crashes, science myths (we only use 10% of our brain) and poor writing, directing and acting. Yeah, the trifecta. I'm sure mindless morons like this kind of tripe, but if you have half a brain (and use it) you'll be very disappointed.

There's no point analysing this hokum - just bucle up and enjoy the Besson ride, it's what you watch his films for. And Johansson makes a good job of it all, despite it straying into over-long relativistic metaphysical wonder accompanied by every flashing light effect in the Universe at the nd. And then finally - really? A flash memory? :-)

I watched this movie and, I loved it. It is a short sci-fi action thriller movie. The main idea of this movie is what if human could unlock the full potentials of their brain. Currently normal humans do not even use 30% of their brain. In the movie, the actress mistakenly get drug in the body, and after that, she started using 100% of her brain. She can sense things faster and she started controlling the things which is not possible for the normal human. she became extraordinary person. Main thing is that what happens if human can use their brain 100%.
