Jamie 13h Truthfully the plot and message of the movie is lost. Theres no real character development of Grace. Her character was very contradictory throughout the whole movie. Its not a good film. I didnt feel any sort of nostalgia from 2011 despite the many efforts. Very dissatisfied since I was very much looking forward to its release. See more Yash B @yashbansal 16h I have always felt that coming-of-age stories about people in their early twenties are underexplored, so I was glad to see a movie like "Mile End Kicks." This movie shows the story of a pivotal summer in a young woman's life, and I really enjoyed it. I felt the movie rides heavily on the lead performance of Barbie Ferreira, who proves once again that she has serious acting chops. I think the movie, at a point, started to become a bit repetitive, and it runs a little longer than needed, but it builds up to a satisfying finale. I like how the movie showcases creativity in the music space, and it'll probably resonate more with people who are passionate about music. Overall, it is a nice little movie with some laughs and heart, and will scratch that coming-of-age itch, but for an older audience. See more Read all reviews
