Philip B @thetachi693 Aug 2 Kept my attention but only because I was hoping there was more. Felt like a Covid film, minimal cast recorded all in the same place. Like they rented a property to film while social distancing. The plot was kinda dumb, but pitched to be addictive as to what happens next. Well it would have made a much better movie if the reward of an ending was more stimulating or at least more conclusive. All that suspense to end the movie on a cliffhanger has me dropping my initial rating by another 1/2 star. Decent acting. Not scary. See more Jagdpanzer T @RT44446946 Jul 19 This is another one of those low budget "elevated" horror movies that's meant to be listened to while you do something else (household chores, mobile games, computer work on your other monitor, etc.). To that end everything is one giant disjointed exposition dump in the form of phone calls between the main character and secondary characters that the viewer never sees. This is especially bad since the main character is insufferable. She's both written and acted as if she was meant to be unlikeable. There's even some not-so-subtle anti-White dog whistling shoehorned in there connected to the main character's well to do family and their treatment of some non-White employees in the past. The whole thing is used as a metaphor for the supposed White appropriation of other peoples' gifts and culture. It was very ham-handed and obvious but I doubt anyone who watched this was awake enough to notice. Lastly, the ending is bad and makes basically no sense. Avoid. Let’s make a story about a "brick",,,, can you imagine that meeting taking place?? The ending seemed crap,,, I presume she won the fight or maybe not ooooh, meh!!! I wouldn’t waste your time unless you’re looking for some artsy bollocks that never delivers. Can’t say I didn’t enjoy it but I can also say I didn’t enjoy it! You’ll know what I mean if you watch it. Meh!!!!
