When upper-class Tamsin (Emily Blunt) meets working-class Mona (Natalie Press) they are immediately drawn to each other. Although coming from different worlds, the two find common ground in their dysfunctional family lives. Pride in 1 hour and 23 minutes!!!!!!! Rated R for Sexuality, Language and Some Drug Use!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Starring Emily Blunt as a lesbian, but it's all right with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mona (Natalie Press) is a young woman living in a small town with her born again brother (Paddy Considine), trying to come to terms with the death of her mother. Tamsin (Emily Blunt) is a student on summer break living at her family's estate, passing the time riding her horse and practicing the cello. From different worlds, they meet and kindle a relationship that extends beyond friendship. Director Pawel Pawlikowski's My Summer of Love is a stylish film about passion, deception, and the danger of religious fanaticism. The acting by the two young leads is excellent, Pawlikowski uses interesting camera angles throughout, and while the plot seems relatively straight-forward throughout, the story takes an unexpected and interesting turn in the final act.
