Academy Award® nominee Monica Barbaro (A Complete Unknown, Top Gun: Maverick) and BAFTA nominee Callum Turner (Masters of the Air, Fantastic Beasts franchise) star as Allie and Owen, two love-starved strangers who crash into each other in an ever-so-slightly fictionalized New York City on the one night of the year when single people are allowed to have sex. Recently dumped Owen and hopeful romantic Allie might be the only two singles in the city looking for more than just a quick encounter. They both feel a spark when they meet, but a series of missteps and side quests complicate their night, keeping them apart. if you're going to make (no sex) the cornerstone of your entire film, you had better be willing to engage with the seriousness of what that means for real. Instead, this movie uses this fascistic setup for a cutesy rom-com that is itself a disappointment.

I did not expect to laugh that much. It was surprisingly funny and exactly what it needed to be, a cute date night movie or night out with friends. It was like the purge if the purge were a raunchy rom com. Don’t trust the bad reviews. Would definitely see again.

We loved this feel-good rom-com with a delightful cast. In the current political climate in America where nothing out of DC comes as a surprise anymore, the ruling that unmarried singles can have sex "one night only" could happen. The film is full of belly laughs based on the absurdity of that idea.

I loved this movie! I thought it was a genuinely funny, charming rom-com that somehow managed to restore a little of my faith in humanity—and in the possibility of finding love in this crazy world of online dating we live in now. It was sweet, relatable, and just made me feel good. And this is exactly why I never listen to movie critics. Their reviews so often seem completely disconnected from what real people actually enjoy. Sometimes a movie doesn’t need to be groundbreaking—it just needs to make you laugh, make you feel something, and leave you a little more hopeful than when you started. This one did that for me. 💗
