paul s @RT18417519 10/28/2021 The subject matter truly saddens me, but this documentary tells a grim tale of nuclear power. It's sad that many people had to suffer in the name of a deliberate experiment. I saw this when I was younger and again just recently. The footage of the atomic nuclear blast is remarkable, and it's astonishing that it is small scale compared to the power of the hydrogen bomb. The world is NOT a better place because of these weapons. This is well worth watching. See more 01/01/2013 You can't go too far wrong when you have really great source material, but here the archival footage and radio broadcasts are woven together very cohesively into a fascinating film. See more 10/30/2012 Footages are horrifying, but it is informative to the most. See more 10/06/2012 I like this Documentary a lot, but it certainly is not an Oscar material. It is emotionally manipulative. Nice editing though, but there weren't any original material, just footages after footages of the oldies. Possibly only enjoyable for the hippies and leftists. God Bless America. See more 07/28/2012 One of the most incredible and sickening films I have ever seen. See more 12/24/2011 A detailed look at the testing of the Atom Bomb before the US used it to end WWII. I recommend every American should watch this at least once. It's not even that long either and got nominated for an Academy Award. You get a full spectrum of viewpoints from all sides involved in making the bomb. See more Read all reviews
