RESIDENCE is a dystopian tragi-comic drama that delves deep into the intricate tapestry of Australia's multicultural history, in search of its beating heart. In a dystopian world, where 90 per cent of the population are now hosts to an unknown parasite, an unlikely hero is born. RESIDENCE is visually bold and unapologetically unique in tenor, with an underlying thread of comedy that mitigates a tone of devastation. CHARLIE (Jeanette Coppolino) and her companions initiate an inspiring quest, representing a hero's journey both physically and metaphorically, displaying unrelenting strength and sacrifice as they embark upon an epic trek toward personal growth and awareness. Gripping in its emotional undertones, RESIDENCE boasts a dynamic and diverse cast that will have you breathless with anticipation one second and roaring with laughter the next.

Peter W @RT12077588 4 days ago Residence is a wacky, fun comedy that is often loud and random. As a bonus, the film features an extremely high body count, where anyone on-screen could be the next victim to be brutally splattered. The premise is simple, which works perfectly given the film’s playful tone and chaotic moments. The sheer number of characters on-screen is massive, and no two are alike. Some are quite welcoming, while others are annoying and fail to land their gags. As a directorial feature-length debut, I love what I am seeing and admire the results, especially considering the creative use of locations, cast, and effects. The film’s biggest challenge is its runtime and multiple monologues from characters, which often feel unnecessary and drag the feature on far too long, making it feel like a real effort to get through. Classic dry self-deprecating humour synonymous with Aussie films, think Kenny, The Castle and The Dish but with a whole lotta zombies. See more Read all reviews
