A film about time and place that evokes the past look of films and tv specials, to tell the story of time gone and returned. See more Remy L @Remsdontcry 6h This movie had a ton of depth I’m unsure as to how others have missed. I especially like how the grisliness tapers upward, like a languid thumb on the volume knob. It’s not a movie about fishing and time travel so much as it is a rhythmic dance of memory, anxiety and frightening dreams, like a two-hour-long session of visual information about the process and the emotional climate, taken in at about the same mental effort as sustaining deep inward yoga, and truly, only as fast as they’ve filmed it—and they did film it liberally slowed. If watching films were a practice, this one would be a heritage bison. A thorough and satisfying meal for those with the enzymes to digest the meat.
