In this feature film based on the hit animated series, the third-graders of South Park sneak into an R-rated film by ultra-vulgar Canadian television personalities Terrance (Matt Stone) and Phillip (Trey Parker), and emerge with expanded vocabularies that leave their parents and teachers scandalized. When outraged Americans try to censor the film, the controversy becomes a call to war with Canada, and Terrance and Phillip end up on death row -- with only the kids left to save them.

Critics Consensus

Its jokes are profoundly bold and rude but incredibly funny at the same time.

[An] inspired, self-referential animated musical.

Genuinely outrageous and sometimes hilarious -- but size does eventually matter, and all-rounder Trey Parker just can't keep it up for the full 81 minutes.

As expected, the movie is crude in both look and content, but it does make some salient (and perennially relevant) points about the dangers of censorship and the responsibilities that come with freedom of choice.

The South Park film also broadened my understanding of what musicals can be. It’s not a genre that can tell only one type of story. It can tell any type of story and, when it’s as smart and beautiful as South Park, it can be magic.

Parker and Stone have made a career out of being decent animators, decent writers, and equal-opportunity offenders.

South Park Bigger Longer & Uncut is just as raunchy as the TV show. As for my review, I had an absolute blast watching this movie. Not only did it pack a well-done written story, along with clever writing and great character development, but South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut is also packed with some great comedy & a soundtrack full of unforgettable musical numbers, with many of them actually being pretty catchy. Despite the animation looking basic, it still looks pretty good, especially during the musical numbers where it actually does look like a big Broadway show. Overall, South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut is one of the greatest animated movies of all time & is also one of my favorites. I'm going to rate this movie a 9.5/10.

So funny and nothing can hold back. It’s rapid pace, humor, violence, and obscenity. Best movie of 1999 and in my top three favorite movies

this movie is a great way to improve the story of the main series it shows the arc of how Kenny, kyle, Cartman, and Stan discovered the language that caused them to become such menaces in the main show it's also nice how they used elements in the show which had already been established such as Terrance and Phillip. The movies musical numbers are amazing little songs can compare. Overall, the show is adapted well into a movie, and the Songs only improve the quality the one and only reasons why this review isn't perfect is continuity between how i can't really tell if this is meant to take place before or after the show but it seems to be referring to an event prior, I would give this film a 4 and 3/4ths but that's sadly not an option.
