Even when it appears calm on the surface, there’s an underlying sense of dread that never really fades. What makes it stand out is how it blends folklore-like fantasy elements with a slow, creeping sense of terror. It doesn’t rely on constant shocks, but instead builds discomfort through mood, sound design, and unsettling imagery. The performances help ground the story, making the strange events feel more personal and emotionally charged. That balance between grief, mystery, and supernatural unease is what keeps it engaging. Overall, it’s a pretty terrifying experience for a fantasy film, but also an enjoyable one if you appreciate slow-burn horror with emotional depth. I’d give it a 7/10. I loved the slow pace, the atmosphere and the story. I liked the animatronic hare. It was creepy and harked back to old moving making methods including stop go animation. (C-) See more Tanya V @TuneVK Jul 26 Despite a brief slow moment or two in the center of this film, the excellent acting and gradual breakdown of reason and control between the main characters presents great tension and makes this one worth a watch. The atmosphere alone - if you like a foggy, wet, British countryside mood - is wonderful, and you experience grief and frustration and wonder and horror as the characters lose their grip.
