Being stranded on a deserted island leaves young Hank (Paul Dano) bored, lonely and without hope. As a rope hangs around his neck, Hank prepares to end it all, until he suddenly spots a man (Daniel Radcliffe) laying by the shore. Unfortunately, he is dead and quite flatulent. Using the gassy body to his advantage, Hank miraculously makes it back to the mainland. However, he now finds himself lost in the wilderness, and dragging the talking corpse named Manny along for the adventure.

Well this was definitely a different kind of movie. I had a real hard time getting through the first 10 minutes with all the "sounds", but I persevered. One of my favorite parts of the movie is around minute 53. There's a montage. You've got to turn on the subtitles to read the lyrics to the song. It's hilarious!! The other part that I like is that it starts the same way as 'Castaway' with Tom Hanks. And I love that the character is named Hank Thomson. Brilliant! 😆

Letting your freak flag fly takes a new meaning as Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe give us elite performances ultimately telling us to be ourselves. Though it's incredibly weird and unexplainable vision may turn off some, it brings awareness to mental health and not hiding the intricacies that make us who we are.

Holy shit. This movie is so strange but so amazing. Every time I thought I knew what was next, I was pleasantly surprised. I went into this movie expecting it to be weird and something I'll forget about a day later, but I was so wrong. I laughed, I cried, and everything in between. What an unexpectedly beautiful movie.

The bleeeep is this reboot of Cast Away with a wacky twist on Lord Of The Rings and Zombie? The whole crew should be ashamed. Is Hollywood so coked up that they thought this was original and funny? This is Shawn of the Dead on codine, shrooms, tequila and crack. I hope this movie gets lost at sea. Middle fingers up...not thumbs up -- middle fingers. Fair acting, but the premise was written on toilet paper in a meth stained bathroom.
