The film serves as a perfect homage and a progressive link connecting the past to the future. As far as Sleepaway Camp is concerned, Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma is the reboot/remake queer audiences deserve.

It was an interesting watch, my theater was sold out. I feel like some people may enjoy this more than others. I’m somewhere in the middle l think I was it to be darker and edgier.

Atrocious, cheaply made, and a waste of another great Gillian Anderson performance. Einbinder continues to be an unwatchable, annoying performer with zero acting ability. The fake blood, the lack of any tension and fear whatsoever for what is supposed to be a horror film and the subversion of tropes plays less like intelligent filmmaking and more like try hard rage bait. More pretentious, boring slop from Schoenbrun who continues to rather bafflingly be celebrated for making objectively terrible films that lack basic competence. Skip at all costs.

Are people afraid to say this was bad? It didn’t make sense and it was boring. Just because the acting was good doesn’t mean it’s good. Also, CG blood looks terrible.
