If its big ‘reveal’ leaves an unfortunate taste in the mouth, then that’s because, up until then, The Black Mass felt better than that. An atypical true crime biopic; heartfelt, angry, and uninterested in using its killer’s name for cheap shock value.

..... Skip this one. Poorly done in every way. Very slow and not the least bit compelling. All of the characters in this piece lack any semblance of personality or charisma. If you don't know who Ted Bundy is at all, this thing is done like a poorly done home movie that just merely follows some guy around.

Devanny Pinn has crafted a genuinely creepy, tense, pot boiler of a film which also looks and feels like you are in 1978. With the use of old style transitions, and a great period musical soundtrack by Fernando Perdomo it helps the audience stay grounded in the late 70s and delivers a film that is different to most films in this true crime genre and it works all the better for it. If i describe the film as slow burn, then some might take that as a negative, and its certainly not. What Devanny Pinn does is build up the pressure, and the atmosphere Recommended movie!
