See more Vixo S @vixo_six 3d The Hunger Games is a solid beginning to the franchise, with recognizable characters, an engaging world and several entertaining action scenes. My main problem is the camera, which remains in constant motion even during moments that would benefit from stillness. Once the action begins, the shaky framing and excessive cutting make it difficult to understand what is happening or even distinguish the characters. At times, the movement became genuinely uncomfortable and made me feel slightly dizzy. I understand the intention of creating urgency, but the technique often sacrifices clarity instead. There is enough here to make me interested in continuing the series, yet the visual style kept me at a distance and ultimately overshadowed most of what the film did well. While some of the abrupt and odd cuts and some sketchy,’unfinished looking VFX sometimes takes me out of the movie, I still felt empathy for the characters and was immersed throughout.
