Verena (Emilia Clarke) is a determined young nurse hired to help a mute young heir (Edward Dring) within an isolated castle in Tuscany. The more she observes the boy, the more Verena becomes convinced he has fallen under the spell of a powerful and otherworldly persona trapped in the villa's stone walls, one that seems to be rapidly entwining with her own.

Hot garbage, awful acting…very two-dimensional and fake. And having a mute kid and voice in the wall as main characters made it especially stupid.

I loved this movie. Seems miscategorized though. Not so much a twisted blood and guts, scary "thriller" as a metaphysical drama exploring other realms of consciousness or realities.

Reminded me of a book I read a few years back, Mexican Gothic????? I like the premise; I just didn't like the execution. That story should have been way more enthralling than it actually turned out.

Basierend auf dem Roman La voce della pietra (Voice from the Stone) von Silvio Raffo… Verena ist eine junge Krankenschwester, die angeheuert wird, um einem stummen jungen Erben zu helfen… Eine solide und langatmige Geistergeschichte, die mit einer sanften und stillen Filmmusik von Michael Wandmacher ausgezeichnet untermalt wird… Trotz der langatmig erzählten Geschichte sind die schauspielerischen Leistungen mit guter Charakterentwicklung sehenswert… Vier Sterne.

Voice From The Stone is an okay film. It is about a nurse who is drawn to aid a young boy who has fallen silent since the sudden passing of his mother. Emilia Clark and Martin Csokas give decent performances. The screenplay is a little slow in places. Eric D. Howell did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the drama and mystery.
