Convinced that mutants pose a threat to humanity, Dr. Bolivar Trask develops the Sentinels, enormous robotic weapons that can detect a mutant gene and zero in on that person. In the 21st century, the Sentinels have evolved into highly efficient killing machines. It is especially impressive that Days of Future Past is a success; a film this gooey and complex, with such business-minded scope, should not feel like a real movie at all.

In an age when more and more movies just feel like stepping-stones toward the next, bigger things, is it so much to ask that it be a good movie all on its own?

I guess I am a sucker for these sort of time travel films, travelling back in time to change the course of history.

While more action would of been ideal, there are some great character moments here that this franchise is known for.

Effectively united some of the elements that X-Men fans had been waiting years to see, though doesn't quite due justice to the source material and squanders the good will of what X-Men: First Class earned the series.

It’s start is a bit jarring, the future Sentinels look pretty generic, and I could list a few other nitpicks. But in terms of story, storytelling, and sheer entertainment, the movie scores where it counts.

Best X-Men movie so far. The plot is actually good (rare from a X-Men movie) and the CGI and effects are stunning. I didn't feel the soundtrack. Days of future past is the perfect ending for the FOX X-Men movies.

Great movie with a cool time travel plot. Cool to see old and new actors and Hugh Jackman play Wolverine again. Too bad the next two X men movies were bad.
