David (Omarion Grandberry) and Elgin (Marques Houston) helm a talented street-dancing crew that engages in dance battles in a Los Angeles warehouse belonging to local club owner Mr. Rad (Steve Harvey). When Orange County rich kid Wade (Christopher Jones) challenges David and Elgin to compete against his dancers for $5,000, they accept. As David and Elgin labor to perfect their moves for the competition, tensions within the crew threaten their chances at success.

캣 Famme Fatale Cat 팜 @famfacat Jan 18 You Got Served! 20260115 (2.3) "You got served!" haha. This movie is a textbook example of youthful spirit with a predictable yet satisfying structure. While the dancing is top-tier and jaw-dropping, I couldn't stop laughing because so many scenes reminded me of the parody Dance Flick. The story follows Elgin and David, best friends whose bond is tested by pride and a $5,000 bet. The plot hits every trope: the "hot chocolate" humor, the tragic death of "Lil Saint" that reunites the crew, and the final high-stakes battle judged by Lil' Kim. Some subplots, like the debt to the drug dealer Emerald, are resolved too easily, but the film's energy compensates for its writing flaws. Despite the unintentional comedy from moves that are now memes, the athleticism—especially the reverse jumping jacks—is incredible. It’s a fun, nostalgic trip into early 2000s street dance culture that remains entertaining despite the clichés. Omarion and Marques Houston give decent performances. The script is a little slow in places. Chris Stokes did an alright job directing this movie.
