The year is 1878, Lincoln County. John Tunstall, a British ranch owner, hires six rebellious boys as "regulators" to protect his ranch against the ruthless Santa Fe Ring. When Tunstall is killed in an ambush, the Regulators, led by the wild-tempered Bill the Kid (Emilio Estevez), declare war on the Ring. As their vendetta turns into a bloody rampage, they are branded outlaws, becoming the objects of the largest manhunt in Western history.

Okay okay okay, right off the bat this movie looks beautiful! A super realistic western city look (not like those desolate desert towns you always see in westerns. "HOG BOYY *OINKOINKOINKOINK*" that's a funny one. "Yea Billy, whatchu kill him for? He was hacking on me." that is the coldest comeback I've ever heard! The fighting in this movie is some of the best I've ever seen! This movie is is also kinda sad + Billy is so mean but he's funny I've gotta give him that. This is entertainment at its finest.

An absolute excellent movie - good action sequences with a nice blend of humor scattered throughout. I'm not sure what the so-called professional movie critics are talking about with such negative reviews, this is a great movie, always enjoyable to rewatch, and the same goes for Young Guns 2.

It's a Western with that 80's flair and style to it. Kind of like Top Gun in a sense where there is a lot of cool but hiding a lack of substance. But it's still a 80's Western Classic. The acting isn't bad. Some of the group are more memorable than others. Everything else is solid though. The soundtrack is soooo dated and doesn't really match a Western I don't think but it's still good. The action is done well but make no mistake this is so over the top and "modern" in it's portryal. FYI don't take any of this for true history. This plays fast and loose with historical characters 100%. It feels more 80's at times than it does a Western. But to it's credit it does keep the group together overall and as others die off it gives more attention and devlopment to others as a good tradeoff which suprised me. It does feelm like sometimes it does get lost in the action, chaos, and style. Like why are we on the run and causing all this trouble. Sometimes it feels like we forget just for t
