See more 11/29/2010 The Kidnapping of Aldo Moro in 1978 left Italy in a state of morass and one which led to a corrupt system of goverment for years to come. What this film does is give a human side to the kidnappers and Moro Himself. Maya Sansa is very good as Chiana one of the kidnappers which the film balances most of the narrrative drive . Her acting is world class as she tries to reamin normal in extraordinary circumstances,her mundane job in a libary and her fantasys and dreams move the film forward and keep the focus and interest high. Both sides of the political spectrum are heard and the director never loses focus on the main players in the film. What also wworks well is the use of classical and modern music in the film . From Shubert to the wonder of Pink Floyd the score is powerful and well done and gives the film a real edge and bite.
