Even though Oscar-bearers Nicolas Cage, Angelina Jolie, and Robert Duval came aboard for this project, the quality of Gone in 60 Seconds is disappointingly low. The plot line is nonsensical, and even the promised car-chase scenes are boring.

In this film we learn that it takes 8,000 lbs. of pressure to crush a car but only one credited screenwriter (Scott Rosenberg) to pound out such a lame script.

Get yourself a good sound system and you will love this movie after 60 seconds. The perfect sound track. A perfect cast. A perfect story. Sexy cars. Angelina is to die for. Nic Cage is doing what he does best. And makes every car person love the old school classics.

Gone in 60 Seconds is one of those films that critics dismissed far too quickly. Beneath the flashy car chases is a surprisingly heartfelt story about loyalty, redemption, and family. Nicolas Cage, Angelina Jolie, and the rest of the cast bring a charisma that makes the whole thing feel bigger and more fun than the reviews ever gave it. If you enjoy seeing great actors having fun and a story that doesn’t pretend to be anything other than an adrenaline‑charged heist, this one is absolutely worth your time.
