A tale for our times but an overprotracted finale and various other superfluous additions to the story did made me long for the lean, mean concision of the original film. Go to Full Review

As timely as an active shooter drill, Mike Flanagan’s eight-part TV series update on a Stephen King classic hits like a shot in the heart Go to Full Review

Flanagan stays faithful to the most important parts of the novel while also updating and expanding King’s story considerably, with mostly successful results. Go to Full Review

Rather than simply rehashing the classic 1976 film by Brian DePalma, the eight-episode format gives the story room to deepen its characters, relationships, and motivations. Go to Full Review

One of the cleverest aspects of the scripts for Carrie is the writers’ ability to invite moments of unexpected empathy with all but the most venal and self-serving of characters. Go to Full Review

Arthur V @Arthurpaparazzi 1 hr ago OH my God, it's like Stranger Things but better and fresher. I loved it; amazing acting by Summer H. Howell ❤️🔥 See more T. Scott S @scotscottscottt 2 hrs ago The whole show is excellent. Absolutely excellent. And then the finale completely undoes everything and ruins the entire experience and ends on the most embarrassing sequel bait I've ever seen. Genuinely a -10/10 finale that misses the point of not only the source material, but all of its own material for 7 episodes. Waste of time. Avoid. See more halar Q @RT06216995 2 hrs ago Carrie is an amazing and unforgettable series that kept me interested from beginning to end. I really enjoyed its dark atmosphere, suspenseful storytelling, and intense emotional moments. The performances were impressive, and the characters made the story even more engaging. What I loved most was how the series mixed horror, drama, and psychological tension so effectively. Every episode kept me curious about what would happen next. The overall experience was thrilling, emotional, and entertaining. Carrie is definitely worth watching for fans of horror and supernatural stories. I absolutely loved it and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys dark, suspenseful entertainment. See more OOM P @OOMPod 3 hrs ago I really enjoyed Carrie Season 1, especially considering I'm not the biggest horror fan. The show does a great job exploring Carrie's upbringing and everything that shapes her into the person she eventually becomes. You genuinely sympathize with her, even as things get increasingly dark. The performances were easily one of the biggest highlights. Summer H. Howell, Samantha Sloyan, Alison Thornton, and Matthew Lillard were standouts, with the rest of the cast delivering solid work throughout. The atmosphere and supernatural effects were great overall, although some of the CGI in the finale looked a little questionable. The pacing was generally good, but I felt the finale ran longer than necessary, rushed certain emotional payoffs, and tried to introduce too much additional material. Overall, a really good adaptation with strong characters, an engaging story, and some genuinely disturbing moments. I just wish the ending had been a little tighter. 7.9/10 — Good See more Che K @lightburn22 4 hrs ago Great acting! Great story line, really hope there is a green light for season 2! Really puts a light on bullying in highschool and the aftermath that can come from it. See more Charly P @RT64051354 4 hrs ago WOW! This was truly amazing in a way I wasn’t expecting! I loved the story line for Carrie and getting more in depth if who she was. The twists and plots were outstanding! Praying for a 2nd season!! See more Read all reviews
