Much more interesting than Blatty's green gurgle, with subtexts regarding the atom bomb, the Rosenbergs, and Joe McCarthy. Go to Full Review

[S]upports the notion that the truth is usually duller than fiction, and needs to be gussied up a little to make it more dramatic. Go to Full Review

See more 04/28/2022 Watched this yesterday and soooo... disappointed. The movie focus is not so much the poor kid and what happens to him but the HUGE ego of Dalton's character. Reality is in an exorcism the person performing the ritual is not the one driving the evil horde away but the Lord Jesus Christ. His arrogance would have led to him being thoroughly destroyed in such a situation. The politics of the R.C. are certain and represented as such. Dalton's peer is there because he knows Dalton's character is going to fail or get it done eventually the hard way. See more 05/16/2021 Possessed is an unabashed The Exorcist rip off. Although the action faithfully follows The Exorcist in many scenes, the direction is slow and boring. See more nilufer e @Nilicim 03/20/2021 This was, what could've been a good movie because I always enjoy a good exorcism and has great actors with some witty humor was below average. It wasn't scary and not original of course. See more 07/09/2019 this movie was dark and terrifying based on a true story their are moments in this movie which gave me chills if you are scared by horrors keep the lights on See more 08/19/2012 The book would actually scare you- based on a true story... this was a bad adaption. Read the book instead. See more Read all reviews
