Can't find a job you become resourceful to help out the grandparents. But when it's a "new" tea the residents go crazy for how can you lose! See more Feb 23, 2013 Tough to imagine a worse film. Would take some effort to rise to the level of "unintentionally funny". See more Aug 30, 2012 I would like to make it known that it was the film promoters and not the film makers that sold it as a hot fuzz/shaun of the dead rival. We didn't have anything in mind when we made this movie. We had absolutely no money . And I don't mean like when a movie is described as low budget because it cost a couple of million. We literally had nothing. Camelot entertainment cut a rough trailer which cost more than our movie! We were a group of friends who picked up a camera and got together at weekends and tried to make a film. We know all the film's faults better than anyone and we don't tell everyone that it is amazing. It is what it is and under the circumstances we are still pretty proud of what we achieved. We can only get better with experience. After all, if we didn't have Bad Taste then we wouldn't have The Lord of the Rings. See more Jul 1, 2012 The cover boasts that this is a combination of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, which would imply that this is pretty much the best movie of all time. It isn't. The premise is solid enough, but the execution fails on numerous fronts. It succumbs to major pacing issues, as the movie spends way too much time on introduction, which is extremely unnecessary given the simple premise: This guy has returned to his home town, and some weird tea is about to cause all of the citizens to go crazy. We get it. The slow pace of much of the movie also leads to a lack of punch lines, and the whole movie just isn't funny enough. The last 20 minutes are entertaining, bloody, and mildly amusing, but, when you make wild claims on your movie's cover comparing it to some excellent movies, you'd better be bringing your A game. If the creators of the movie hadn't gloated so much and set expectations so high, this might be getting a 3/5. Still, this movie is not good enough for such praise, and David Ryan Keith is delusional if he thinks he's as good as Edgar Wright. See more Read all reviews
