This may be the first mainstream Hollywood comedy where the anus drives the movie -- and I don't mean that as a double entendre.

2008 has, with one or two exceptions, been a diabolical year for American comedy, and Big Stan hits rock bottom.

Prison rape comedy is offensive and a waste of time.

D

A prison comedy that boldly confronts the "hilarity" of male rape, Big Stan isn't as offensive as it imagines itself to be, and nowhere near as silly as I'm sure Rob Schneider hoped for. It's a just a forgettable, unfunny waste of time.

I wasted two valuable hours of my life on Big Stan -- don't make the same mistake.

If you're not a fan, then this won't do much to convert you, unless you, like Schneider, have a dubious obsession with anal rape jokes.

PHILE!!! This it's probably the most OOOP movie I've ever seen. It's starts rough, the premise is terrible, but some how morphs into a combination of The Longest Yard and Death Warrant. For a movie about prison, directed by Rob Schneider, it's very progressive in its messaging. The fight scenes were good but hard to believe. Sean Astin is Rob Schneider running a Prison Yard. RIP Carradine. I can't believe I liked this movie! 5HM: Ooop (and something else...) GD: Changing Kill to Kiss

If there's a way to make rape funny, you won't find it in Big Stan.

This was the best movie for you to turn off your brain. I don’t know what the critics were thinking it’s very much not a masterpiece. It’s not meant to be so don’t treat it like that. It’s great have like a party. It’s not something you drink wine too, but it’s a masterpiece for what it is.

I’ll give it 2 stars because this movie definitely had me laughing hard. That being said, the plot was so bizarre and weird. I stayed around and finished it through for the comedy and laugh purely.
