MC R @RT91491190 1d I wanted to rewatch Borat, because it's Nice!!!! 😂 This movie was 20 years ago a cultural phenoman. Everybody repeat it his catchphrases and his swimsuit was popular. This was a hole thing! The movie is so funny. A lot of uncormfortably moments, wich made it so much more funny. I always asked myself does people in the movie get that this was a character and not real? Ps. Poor Pamela Anderson, thinking you are there for signing session and then you get almost got kidnapped. Borat remains a groundbreaking mockumentary that Sacha Baron Cohen somehow pulled off through real, unscripted interactions with unsuspecting members of the public. Rewatching it after visiting Kazakhstan gave me a very different perspective. The film's depiction of the country is, of course, entirely fictional and wildly unfair to the real Kazakhstan, which is modern, welcoming, and far more beautiful than the movie intentionally suggests. That said, Cohen's fearless commitment to Borat and his ability to expose prejudice and absurdity through improv are still astonishing. Equal parts satire and social experiment, Borat is as shocking today as it was in 2006. Posso dizer que me senti entediado em diversos monentos e não achei piada a diversas cenas (o que num filme de comédia é bastante relevante).
