It's too episodic, includes a creepy suicide element and has no emotional pull at all. His acrobatic climb around a moving steamboat wheel is the best reason to see this one. See more Sep 18, 2011 Often noted as the Keaton film missing the most footage, said to be between 3-10 minutes, which would have made this his only three reeler. As it stands, choppy and uneven, there are some good chase scenes involving hordes of cops (like "Cops"), possibly directed by Fatty Arbuckle in San Francisco, and Joe Keaton (Buster's father) giving his boy the famous Vaudeville boot. See more Aug 13, 2011 Although greater films with Buster Keaton had yet to come, this one is a fine one, is inventive, funny, amusing and Keaton's character was pretty well defined already.
