I watched this so many times as a kid, but somehow hadn't seen it since then. I just wanted something light to take my mind off things, and this was exactly what I needed. I honestly think people are way too harsh on this movie. Sure, it's weird, over-the-top, and completely ridiculous, but that's part of its charm. The production design and sets are genuinely fantastic, even if the script sometimes has no idea whether it's aimed at kids or adults. Mike Myers absolutely steals every single scene and proves how talented he really is. I had fun with it from start to finish.
