Director Justin Webster covers all the milestones, but to feel the passions that inspired García Márquez, you'll have to read his books. Go to Full Review Kathy Fennessy The Stranger (Seattle, WA) Aug 21, 2017
In form, Gabo looks much like a PBS documentary, which isn't a bad thing, but a touch of the magical realism that illuminated his novels would've been nice. Go to Full Review Mary Ann Brussat Spirituality & Practice May 12, 2016

johann m @Johann33 May 27, 2020 A very interesting documentary about how a Colombian boy from a tiny town on the Caribbean coast became a writer who won the hearts of millions, from poor people to very powerful politicians such as Bill Clinton and Fidel Castro, and went on to earn the Nobel Prize in Literature after writing some of the best novels associated with the magic realism genre. An incredible writer to be proud of. 🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴 See more Read all reviews
