A cannery baron is ruined by a canned milk trust, and his workers help him renovate a building to make a collectivist dairy.

A funny and surprisingly uplifting story of tough times of unemployment

Oct 6, 2007

A fine comedy of Jirà Voskovec and Jan Werich. I've read that they were a large source of inspiration for the Czech New Wave. A real power to the people, go Unions sort of film. It's very nicely shot.
