Hell Night reconfigures the slasher as social struggle, with Marti not just its final girl, but also its working-class heroine. And while she may continue to embrace liberty and equality, Marti learns to turn her back on fraternity.

You know a movie is in trouble when what is happening on the screen inspires daydreams. I had lasted through the first reel, and nothing had happened. Now I was somewhere in the middle of the third reel, and still nothing had happened.

While slasher-flick aficionados prefer their pictures with generous servings of both gore and T&A, Hell Night is relatively restrained on both fronts, making it a good bet for family viewing around Christmastime. (OK, that might be a slight exaggeration.)

This early '80s horror movie has a great atmosphere and some effective chills. It also has terrible dialogue and acting.

Hell Night is a fun little 80s slasher that may not compete with the decade's classics, but remains enjoyable for its cool kills and interesting twists.

A instant classic Slasher with a stellar cast. The kills were awesome. Loved the setting and directing. Tim Treakle

I guess I got a soft spot for this flick from growing up spending my Halloween nights in a college town. That mixes with my soft spot for Linda Blair’s one of a kind charismatic magnetism, making this a great little nostalgic monster party.

Would actually be a cool little slasher if not for the painfully slow pace.
