Bad Grandpa is a hilarious spin-off built around one of the funniest characters to come out of Jackass. Johnny Knoxville fully commits to the role, following the outrageous Bad Grandpa as he unexpectedly travels with his young grandson after being left on his own. The hidden-camera format creates some genuinely shocking and laugh-out-loud moments, with unsuspecting people reacting to the absurd situations in real time. It's crude, ridiculous, and certainly not for everyone, but if you enjoy the Jackass style of comedy, it's an entertaining ride from start to finish.

**★★★★☆** *Bad Grandpa* is one of my favorite *Jackass* projects because it takes the usual hidden-camera chaos and turns it into an actual movie. Johnny Knoxville is surprisingly convincing as Irving, and the whole thing is much better acted than you'd expect. It's still packed with outrageous pranks, but there's also a genuinely sweet relationship at the heart of it that gives the film more charm than a typical *Jackass* outing. The beauty pageant sequence is easily one of the greatest hidden-camera bits they've ever pulled off—I was crying with laughter. Hilarious, surprisingly heartfelt, and endlessly entertaining.

Trying to combine a narrative with Jackass style stunts sounds great on paper but in execution not so much would have been better had they filmed like a real movie an not a hidden camera type film as is i feel like a got the whole joke from the trailer but was reasonably entertained

Laugh-out-loud funny. The reason it works so will is the unsuspecting bystanders to the pranks. Just ordinary people witnessing one outrageous stunt after another.

On Blu-Ray players, the extended version is funnier and longer. LOL. A success on home media. Rated R for Language, Brief Drug Use, Some Graphic Nudity and Strong Crude & Sexual Content.
