After her husband's assassination, Jackie Kennedy's (Natalie Portman) world is completely shattered. This movie is about that famous historical moment. But it is more about grief. And that grief makes it strong but slow. I found myself in a position where I felt a documentary would be much more effective

Gosh- I am a big fan of Natalie Portman, but I just could not get past her terrible performance....But it is not her fault! She never should have been cast in this role- She is too thin and frail and her accent was horrifying. Mrs Kennedy-Onasis was a strong, sturdy woman. Even with her soft voice she was confident, clear and always polite. She was raised to be that way...She was a horse woman, and athletic. I love Ms Portman in every other film of hers I've seen- but this was just over her head. Billie Crudup was good, but he played it straight, and could really just be himself. Any way, I'm rather late to this film, I was having children when it first came out...

Natalie Portman is excellent but it glorifies a narcissistic person who was always out for herself. Diana before Diana. JFK was a fraud of the highest order. His book was ghost written. He was a womanizer that made Clintoon look celebate. He passed no meaningful legislation. He got us involved in vietnam. Waste of time.

Another movie Natalie shines in. The tone, the acting and the way the movie is filmed is just pure perfection! This can be one of the greatest films of the 21st century very easily. Highly recommend!

What bothers me is the way she is talking. Jackie O didn't talk like that. And she seems through the film like she's lost or something I'm not sure but I couldn't stand the way she sounds or how she's talkin why???

i was in 4th grade when this happened and we were sent home from school and all the adults were crying and we didn't really understand what a big deal this was. i am trying to watch this now and about half way through but the voice of jackie is SO irritating (more like immitating marilyn monroe) i don't think jackie talked like that and the background music is beyond depressing-it's also boring!
