Schoolteacher and single mother Samantha Caine (Geena Davis) lives an average suburban life -- until she begins having strange memories of unexplained violence and discovers that she has physical skills that she never imagined. Hiring private detective Mitch Hennessey (Samuel L. Frankly, if I had to see either Harlin-Davis movie again, I'd opt for the klutzy unpleasantness of Cutthroat Island over the efficient if equally stupid unpleasantness of this 1996 release.

Greetings from Lithuania. "The Long Kiss Goodnight" (1996) is a very entertaining movie that is excellently made. In liked this movie back in the day, and liked even more in 2026 upon rewatching it on 4K UHD release by Arrow Video which is pretty amazing. Picture quality is excellent, sound in Dolby Atmos is really great. This is a must own version of this excellent action film from the 90's. Directed by Renny Harlin and staring Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson this is a fun, entertaining and silly action film that kind of was a bit ahead of its time. It flopped at the box office yet later found its audience at home. Overall, "The Long Kiss Goodnight" an excellent fun ride.
